Codicotes under 15's put to the sword fourth placed Harpendon. From the first minute to the last the visitors were a constant threat. Tom Bundy's inswinging corners and free kicks were causing all sorts of problems for the home side and when on 4 minutes Taylor Roff powered in a header from close range only to be followed by another form Doherty 60 seconds later the home side had no answer.
Once again the oppositions played 5 players in the middle in an attempt to cut out the supply from Dan Cox and Matt Cattrick, but Cattrick's work rate and vision from Cox still saw the pair dominate the centre of the park.
Codicote as usual got the ball wide early and with Adam Smith and full back Mark Jeffery working once again together Roff and Doherty had plenty of opportunities to stretch the villagers lead. With 20 minutes gone Codicote were four nil up and coach Jim Bundy made the first changes of the day in came Ben Middleton, who once again looked to take on the opposition whilst Joel Pullen and William Rogers combined down Codicotes right. As the half approached Codicote soon netted number 5, this time with William Hanson replacing Doherty the skilful player managed to find the perfect ball, for Rogers to cross enabling Roff to poke the ball over from close range.
The second half started with Harpendon on the front foot, with Codicote players not tracking back Zack Broad and Kennedy Howes were feeling the pressure, but the central pairing were up to the task. Soon Codicote were in their stride and on every attack they looked like netting. Roff managed to grab himself numbers three and four to complete a perfect performance by Codicotes front man before being replaced by Middleton who managed to net a couple for himself with mazie dribbles in the Harpendon penalty area. Codciote continued to press and with Cox and man of the match Cattrick grabbing one each the villagers were in complete control. But the highlight of the day fell to Adam Smith, Smiths wing play has been a delight this season and when Codicote were awarded a penalty usual spot man Broad stepped aside for Smith to find the top corner and his first of the season. Codicote now have four home games which could see them win the title.
