Codicote were without skipper Zack Broad and top goal scorer James Doherty for this local derby but with William Hanson and William Rogers coming into the starting line up the visitors were always to strong for Lemsford. The opening encounters saw Codicote pressing but without creating clear cut chances, Lemsford had packed the mid field in an attempt to stop Codicote playing and for a time it worked. The visitors started to become frustrated but when William Hanson laid in the perfect ball for Taylor Roff, the striker made no mistake. Codicote still pressed the home side and should have created more from their possession but time and time again the villagers tried to go through the compact middle instead of getting the ball wide. Codicote’s second came via an own goal, Tom Bundy's inswiing corner found the head of the Lemsford Captain to sailed into the top corner. Codicote soon grabbed a third before slack play brought keeper Jack Norman into the game to keep a clean sheet at the feet of the Lemsford attacker.
The second half was a much improved event, Adam Smith, Ben Middleton along with David Van Hek all saw plenty of the ball in wide positions and Codicote racked up 5 more goals, with Taylor Roff completing a well deserved hat-trick from the penalty spot. Ben Middleton was also denied a hat-trick as in quick succession he walsed his way past player to notch two but an excellent save denied Middleton his first hat- trick. Codicote maintained their clean sheet with some excellent defending from william Rogers and Kennedy Howes and it was howes along with William Hanson who picked up the mom award
